How do I share files without email?
Use EasySend to upload files and get a shareable link. Send the link via text message, WhatsApp, Slack, Discord or any messaging app. No email required on either end.
Email is the default way most people share files, but it has major limitations: 25MB attachment caps, slow delivery for large files and the requirement that both parties have email accounts. For many file transfers, email is simply not the right tool.
Share Files via Link Instead of Email
- Go to easysend.co in any browser
- Drop your files onto the upload area
- Copy the share link (e.g. easysend.co/Ab3Kz)
- Send the link however you prefer
Ways to Share the Link Without Email
- Text message (SMS) - paste the link in a text to any phone number
- WhatsApp, Telegram, Signal - drop the link in any chat
- Slack, Discord, Teams - share in any channel or DM
- QR code - EasySend generates a QR code for every upload. Screenshot it or display it on screen for in-person sharing
- Social media - post the link on X, Facebook, LinkedIn or Reddit
- Verbally - short codes like Ab3Kz are easy to read out loud or dictate over the phone
Why Skip Email for File Sharing?
Email attachments are limited to 25MB (Gmail) or 20MB (Outlook). Files sit in both sender and recipient mailboxes indefinitely, creating security exposure. Email requires both parties to have and check email accounts. A shareable link avoids all of these problems and works with any communication channel the recipient already uses.
For sensitive files, add password protection or end-to-end encryption before sharing the link.
