How do I share encrypted files?

Toggle on encryption before uploading at easysend.co. Files are encrypted in your browser using AES-256-GCM before they leave your device. Share the link and decryption password through separate channels.

EasySend offers end-to-end encryption (E2E) using AES-256-GCM. Here is how to use it:

Steps

  1. Go to easysend.co
  2. Toggle the encryption switch before uploading
  3. Choose a password when prompted
  4. Upload your files (they encrypt in your browser before upload)
  5. Share the download link via one channel (email, Slack)
  6. Share the password via a different channel (text, phone call)

How It Works

The encryption key is derived from your password using PBKDF2. The key never leaves your browser. EasySend servers only see encrypted data. Even if someone accesses the server, they cannot read your files without the password.

This is true zero-knowledge encryption. See the full encryption guide.
