What happens after my files expire on EasySend?

Expired files are permanently deleted from storage. There is no recycle bin and no recovery option. The share link shows a "files no longer available" message.

When files reach their expiry date on EasySend, they are permanently and irreversibly deleted:

What "Permanently Deleted" Means

Deletion is real and complete. The file data is removed from storage infrastructure. There is no recycle bin, no archive, no backup copy retained by EasySend. Once deleted, the file cannot be recovered by anyone including the EasySend team.

If files were uploaded with end-to-end encryption, the encrypted data is deleted. Since the encryption key only existed in your browser, the data was inaccessible to EasySend even before deletion.

What the Recipient Sees

After expiry, anyone who clicks the share link sees a message that the files are no longer available. The link does not redirect or show an error page. It simply indicates the content has been removed.

Expiry Warnings

If you provided a notification email during upload, EasySend sends a warning before files expire. This gives you time to extend the upload ($0.99 for 30 more days) or download your own backup copy.
