How do I password protect files I am sharing?

Enter a password during upload on EasySend. Recipients must enter the password before they can view or download your files.

Adding password protection takes 5 seconds during the upload process:

  1. Go to easysend.co and drop your files
  2. Enter a password in the password field
  3. Share the link with your recipient
  4. Send the password separately (via text or phone call)

The password is hashed with bcrypt on the server. For even stronger security, enable end-to-end encryption which encrypts files in your browser before upload. See the detailed password protection guide.
