How long do files stay on EasySend?

Free uploads are available for 3 days. Extend to 30 days for $0.99 or get permanent storage from $4.99.

When you upload files to EasySend on the free tier, they remain available for download for 3 days (72 hours) from the time of upload. After 3 days, the files are automatically deleted from the server. This automatic expiry is a deliberate security feature that prevents forgotten files from sitting on servers indefinitely.

Extending File Availability

If 3 days is not long enough, you have several options to keep your files available longer:

Auto-Deletion and Privacy

Automatic file deletion is central to how EasySend protects your privacy. When files expire, they are permanently removed from storage. There is no recycle bin, no archive and no backup copy retained by the service. Once deleted, the files cannot be recovered by anyone, including the EasySend team.

If you enable end-to-end encryption, the encrypted files are stored on the server during the retention period. After expiry, the encrypted data is deleted. Since the encryption key only existed in your browser, the data was never accessible to EasySend even while it was stored.

Managing Your Uploads

Every upload generates a management link (saved in your browser automatically). From the management page you can see download counts, delete files early, extend the retention period or upgrade to permanent storage. No account is needed for any of these actions.

You can also set up email notifications to receive alerts when someone downloads your files. This works on both free and paid uploads.
